A UK-based shoe company that had just celebrated their
100th year in business in 2005, Gola was perhaps best

like Adidas and Nike meant a steady decline for the much
vaunted British brand, and after a few changes in
ownership, Gola was finally acquired by its present
owner, the Jacobson Group. With a new owner behind the
helm, the brand underwent a transformation and shifted
their focus onto a line of retro-styled fashion
sneakers. With perfect timing, the revival of Gola's
fortunes coincided with the revival of retro sneaker
styles, and the Gola brand has since enjoyed renewed
success and reached new heights in popularity.
